Down Stage Right Industries has been supplying and installing quality rigging equipment to the Canadian Theatrical Industry since 1988. The company was formed in that year to supply the mechanisms that raised the winning countries flags at various venues for the Winter Olympics in Calgary. Since then we have grown to become a manufacturer of black coated aircraft cable and custom rigging products as well as serving as dealers or distributors for JR Clancy and H&H Specialties for counterweight and mechanized rigging. We are distributors of hundreds of other products aimed at the theatrical and entertainment industries.
We have installed grids, motors, curtains and manual and powered fly systems throughout British Columbia and Alberta and Saskatchewan. We supply rigging materials for Ballet Opera and Theatres from coast to coast and provide the rigging for touring shows. We pride ourselves on knowing our market and industry and thus supplying and stocking items of the quality that our customers want.
Annual rigging inspections are a must either by yourself or an outside body. We have done comprehensive rigging safety inspections in facilities across Canada. We will come out and do a inspection of your facility. In this, we look at all of the components of each line set checking for alignment, wear and damage. At the end of the inspection, we provide a verbal report indicating any areas of immediate concern. Within 4 weeks, we provide two copies of our written report. This is generally a 30 to 40 page document with a detailed breakdown of each line set indicating problems or concerns, photos indicating problems, an executive summary, a recommended priority list and a glossary of terms used.
